Family Photos vs. Shot List
These are two separate tabs with separate contents.
- Family Photos is the posed-group list: “Bride with Parents”, “Both families”. This is the one you work through and tick off on the day.
- Shot List is your detail and creative shots, organized into sections (Getting Ready, Ceremony, Reception, Decor) and assignable to shooters.
Family Photos
- Add creates one shot. Import reads a document or a photo of a shot list, extracts the shots, and matches names to the people you have already added.
- On the phone you work the list live. The Current Shot sits at the top with Up Next beneath. Tap Complete Shot to tick it off, or the skip button beside it to come back later.
- Sort by Saved Order, Largest Group First or Smallest Group First. Filter By Side, By Role or By Person.
- On the phone, More options → Rearrange lets you drag shots into order, and Edit Shots lets you tap one to change it.
- On desktop, Shoot Mode is a preview only. It shows how the list will look on your phone and changes nothing. The real ticking-off happens on the phone.
Shot List
- Shots live in sections, and you need a section before Add Shot works. Use the + beside the section tabs to add one, or Templates to load a ready-made set. The built-in FOCL Starter gives you Getting Ready, Ceremony, Reception and Decor. You can save your own setup as a template and reuse it on every wedding.
- Careful with templates: the Replace existing sections + shots when loading checkbox is ticked by default. Loading a template with it on wipes what is already there.
- Assign shots to people through Manage shooters.
- You tick detail shots off on your phone, the same as Family Photos. Tap the circle on a shot to mark it captured and it is struck through. Desktop rows have no checkbox, only Edit and Delete.
- To reorder, drag the handle. On a touch screen, press and hold for about a second before dragging. You cannot drag a shot into a different section. Change its section by editing the shot.
