Venues, weather and sunset times

Add a venue

1. Open the wedding and click the pencil beside the couple’s name, or beside the map.
2. Go to Edit Wedding → Locations → Add Location.
3. Give it a Venue Name, a Type (Ceremony, Reception, Getting Ready, First Look, Party Photos, Other), then use the Search Venue box. Add Notes if you like.

Pick the venue from the search dropdown. Typing the address by hand saves no coordinates, and without coordinates that venue gets no map pin, no weather and no sunset times. When it works you will see “Location found · will show on map”.

Weather

Weather comes from the venue and shows on the Brief as temperature, rain chance and wind. Tap any of them for a 14-day forecast. Forecasts firm up close to the date, so re-check about two weeks out.

Only the first venue in your list drives the weather. If the ceremony is not first, you are looking at the forecast for the wrong place. Reorder your venues so the one you want is first.

Suntracker (paid plans)

Shows Sunrise, Morning golden hour, Harshest light, Golden hour and Sunset with its compass direction, in the venue’s timezone. Find the sun opens a live camera view showing where the sun will be. Sun times are calculated on the device, so they work with no signal.

If you type an address into the Suntracker’s location box, it is saved onto the wedding as a new Reception venue.
